Auchterarder Envelope Draw
The Competition starts with 20 sealed envelopes. One of the envelopes contains a winning message; the other 19 contain a “better luck next time!” message.
Members are given the opportunity to draw the winning envelope by purchasing raffle tickets at £1 for a strip of 5 tickets. Like a normal raffle, a winning ticket is drawn at random, and the winner then has the opportunity to choose one of the sealed envelopes. If the winning envelope is drawn, the winner receives the appropriate cash prize. If unsuccessful, the competition rolls on to the next week, with one less envelope plus additional cash from this weeks raffle money.
However, in order to win, entrants must be in the Clubhouse at the time the draw is made! If you are not there, you can’t win.
The Competition started with a prize of £100. On Friday 4th November, the £330 prize fund was won by Club Vice-President, Ronnie Mailer who was presenting the trophies at the Annual Prizegiving. Ronnie picked the correct envelope from one of the fourteen remaining. Ronnie is pictured below, receiving his prize from competition host, Alan Cooper.
Remember, come to the clubhouse……….
If you ain’t there, ye’ cannae win!
