- Auchterarder lose out in nail-biting final week
With all to play for in the final week of this year's Frews Scratch League, Auchterader ended up on the wrong side of a 3½ to 1½ result against a determined Murrayshall side. Despite a win for Graham Lowson and a half for Brian Heggie in the first two games, Auchterarder failed to gain the vital win that would assure the league title by virtue of Kinross drawing with Muckhart. Defeats for Robert Aitken, David Croll and Cammy Long left the side limping home in third place in the table. Kinross now go on to play Crieff in the Scratch League Final.

An excellent 5-0 whitewash of Blairgowrie, with wins for Graham Lowson, Phil Scott, Robert Aitken, David Croll and Cammy Long, now places the chances of winning the league firmly in the hands of the Auchterarder squad, where a win, or possibly a tie at Murrayshall next Friday will assure our participation in the Final.

As a result of some slip-ups by those teams chasing the top position in Section A of the Scratch League, Auchterarder now have an excellent chance of winning the league if two wins can be gained from the final two games against Blairgowrie (Home) and Murrayshall (Away).

- Halved match at Milnathort in Scratch League

A tie at Milnathort leaves Auchterarder with much to do in the second half of the Scratch League campaign when it resumes in five weeks time. Wins for Graham Lowson and Brian Heggie and a halved game for Cameron Long were cancelled out by defeats for Robert Aitken and David Croll.

- Solid start for Auchterarder in Scratch League
Friday 27 May
After three games in the 2005 Scratch League Section 2, there is a three-way tie at the top of the table between Blairgowrie, Craigie Hill and Auchterarder. All three teams having won two and lost one of their games. Blairgowrie currently top the league by virtue of a better games won/lost difference, but have yet to play Auchterarder at Auchterarder. Craigie Hill have already played Auchterarder at the Hill.
