The League will commence on Sunday 15 October and continue every Sunday until end of March 2007. If a Sunday competition is cancelled due to weather conditions it will be played the following Saturday. (Note: This only applies to cancelled Sundays and does not constitute an extra competition.
Players are able to join the League at any time. Entry fee £5 to be paid to Pro Shop.
Entry fee for each round of the League is £2.
The League will consist of three sections: (All subject to revision after Week 1)
Members will remain in the section they are placed on joining the league, regardless of handicap adjustments.
Prizes will be awarded on a sectional basis at the end of the League based on Accumulated Points and Best Gross Eclectic Scores.
Handicaps:
Handicaps will be reduced and increased on the same basis as the normal CONGU rules. Players will remain in the section in which they start.
It is the players' responsibility to ensure that all cards are properly completed and scores entered into the computer. David Smith and Barry Johnston will administer all competitions and handicaps.
All Competition Results and Handicap Adjustments will be posted on the Noticeboard.
Course of Play:
All rounds throughout the competition will be played over one of two courses
Course A - is the normal 18 holes, played off yellow markers/winter tees (SSS 66)
Course B - is the old course (1-5, 14, 15, 17, 18) played off yellow markers/winter tees and completed twice (SSS 65)
(The SSS may be changed subject to conditions and greens used).
Points Competition:
Points will be allocated to the best 6 net scores in each section on the basis of 6 points for 1st, 5 for 2nd etc.
Eclectic Competition:
The Eclectic Competition will be run using the best 18 hole gross eclectic score for each course. Course B scores will only count if this course is used three or more times during the season.
