Following extensive rainfall in recent months (13" higher than average), resulting in abnormal ground conditions particularly on holes 6-13, and whilst in the interests of ensuring golf as often as possible for the majority, with resulting, minimal course damage:
When underfoot conditions permit, (no snow or heavy frost), the course will remain open for play as follows:
Monday – Friday: 9 Holes (The Old 9)
Saturday – Sunday: 18 Holes
Conditions of Play:
- Fairway Mats will be used on all fairways and Par 3 tees.
- Battery powered caddy cars and buggies are prohibited.
- The use of carry bags is encouraged though Gavin will provide pull carts at a cost of £1 for the winter period.
- Play in light frost is permitted for those with carry bags.
Whilst these conditions will not be ideal for all, it will ensure that the course remains open even under the most extreme ground conditions.
