The oldest competition in Perthshire is this year hosted by Auchterarder. The 119th West Perthshire Trophy took place at Auchterarder on Saturday 26 May. An annual competition of Scratch Foursomes between Auchterarder, Comrie, Crieff and Dunblane. Auchterarder featuring the team of (left to right), Ollie Saffery, Martin Rogalski (team captain), Pete Courtney and Finlay White, recaptured the trophy on a sun-baked Auchterarder with a semi-final win over Comrie, followed byan impressive final win over Crieff. Historical footnote: The four clubs involved are as a result of all having train stations back in 1899 when the competition started. Access to each venue was therefore relatively simple.
