Junior Update for Monday 3rd August
We have had a good number of juniors contact us to add their name for attendance on Monday 3rd which is great. We would appreciate all those who anticipate bringing their children along to contact Marc & Julie to add their names to the attendance list for the 3rd August. This is a small change from previous years but due to the current situation, and our ability to gather volunteers, we would appreciate prior notice of your childs attendance. Please contact Marc & Julie by Sunday. Marc’s email address is email@example.com and Julie’s is firstname.lastname@example.org. We would look for parents / guardians to book in advance every week going forward. We would hope to be in a position to provide ‘tee times’ to parents in future by doing this so children are not hanging around for prolonged periods waiting to go out on the course.
There are a couple of other points to note below to consider for Monday 3rd;
1) Our pro Gavin is on holiday on Monday 3rd so if your child is a complete beginner and not suited to on-course play it would be best to wait until Gavin returns on the 10th to carry out tuition.
2) We have a limited number of core volunteers helping with our junior set up. We would appreciate parents / guardians helping out if required to run our sessions. This would be mainly guiding the children round the 4 holes. No prior golf experience is required although would be helpful. We don’t want to start turning children away.
3) Due to the current situation, children are not able to share equipment. Each child should bring their own equipment in addition to remembering to dress suitably for the weather conditions and bring a drink if needed.
We look forward to seeing the kids there on Monday. Remember to book your child in!!
