Auchterarder Golf Club is committed to the sustainable management of the land and facilities at Auchterarder Golf Course.

The Club is committed to maintain and preserve the course and manage its buildings and overall operations in a sustainable and environmentally-friendly manner thus maximising the potential of the links from both golfing and ecological perspectives.

Our Commitment to Our Environment

We are committed to providing a quality service in a manner that ensures a safe and healthy golf course for our employees and members which minimises our potential impact on the environment.
We will operate in compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and we will strive to use pollution prevention and environmental best practices in all we do.

We will:

• Raise environmental awareness among our members, employees, visitors and the community and encourage them to live and work in an environmentally responsible manner, with a firm commitment to train, educate and inform our members and employees about environmental issues that may affect the club.
• Encourage and reward our supply base for working with us to implement changes in their operating procedures that will improve environmental and sustainability performance.
• Purchase and use environmentally responsible products accordingly, with particular emphasis on renewable energy supplies and environmentally responsible suppliers.
• Strive to improve our energy and water efficiency and reduce our carbon footprint.
• Protect and enhance the habitat and biodiversity value of the course and its contribution to wider ecosystem services.
• Reduce waste through re-use and recycling and by purchasing recycled, recyclable or refurbished products and materials where these alternatives are available, economical and suitable.
• Integrate the consideration of environmental concerns and impacts into all of our decisionmaking activities.
